It charges 3 to 10 times faster than Level 1. Lastly, Level 3 is a DC charger that you likely only see at public charging stations. It can charge from empty to 80% in 30-45 minutes, but uses a 480v system which is very uncommon in homes.
Cost: In my experience, Level 1 chargers come with many EVs or cost about $300. Level 2 chargers cost $1500-2000 for the charger and installation. Unfortunately, I don’t have cost information or experience with Level 3 chargers.
